FAQ
After double eyelid surgery, try not to get water on the wound and keep the wound clean. After the operation, moderate ice compressions can be used to reduce swelling. Avoid foods that are likely to cause allergies or irritation, such as seafood, wine, and spicy food. Avoid eye fatigue and ensure adequate rest, which can reduce eyelid swelling and assist wound recovery. Do not use makeup after the operation, until the stitches are removed and the wound is stable. For contact lenses – If the double eyelid is sutured, you can start wearing contacts after the swelling subsides. If the double eyelid is created by incisional technique, you need to wait until the stitches are removed and the wound is stable before starting to wear contacts again. After the operation, follow-up consultation is required. If you have any questions, please contact us.
The recovery time after surgery varies from person to person and depends on the surgical method. Generally speaking, the recovery time is about one to three weeks.

A common cause of droopy eyelids is a weak levator palpebrae superioris muscle or loose skin. If the levator palpebrae superioris is weak, pupils will often be covered by the upper eyelids, making the eyes look droopy or uneven (if the strength of the levator palpebrae superioris is weaker on one side), thus making the person appears very tired. As time goes by, aging will also cause the skin around the eyes to lose its elasticity and begin to relax, causing the eyelids to sag and cover part of the pupils. Other than making the eyes look dull, thick eyelids may also cause ingrown eyelashes.
Before the operation, you should consult your doctor to address any concerns. After the surgery, you can rest in the lounge and may leave once you feel fine. Use mild, non-irritating cleansers after the surgery. In addition, sun protection must be used, and you should not touch the wound and allow it time to heal. For bruises caused by invasive procedures, ice or cold-water packs are recommended, especially within 3 days after the surgery. After the operation, follow-up consultation is required. If you have any questions, please contact us.
Do not wear make-up, metal objects or contact lenses on the day of surgery. When you go home after the surgery, you can wear sunglasses to reduce sun irritation and conceal the area of operation on your travel home.
